Bailey is visiting!
Hello again, fair reader(s). The last few days have been pretty busy, so naturally you got no blog post. I'm sure you're all distraught about that.
On Friday, Bailey arrived to visit Ethan. That night, Tellef, Lauren, Pat, Nora, Ken, and I went to see Shaun of the Dead. I liked it, I recommend it to anybody who can stand a little gore, not just fans of zombie movies. And the Red Sox lost. I was not happy about that.
And now, the good part: the fish saga. It all started a week or two ago, when Lauren and Melissa decided they wanted some fish for their room. They already had a tank and an aerator, so they went out and bought some fish and threw them in there. The fish, of course, died, since they didn't know they were supposed to float the bag in the water to get the fish used to the temperature, they didn't know you had to have a filter for the water or that the water was supposed to be filtered before you put the fish in it.
So, yesterday, Lauren and I headed back to the fish store to get more fish and, this time, the necessary supplies. We got a filter and Lauren picked out two Barbs. We brought them all the way back to Northeastern, set up the filter, and floated the bag while we went out to eat and then saw Napoleon Dynamite (also a highly recommended movie) with Ethan, Bailey, and Tellef. When we got back, it was time for the moment of truth: dumping the fish into the tank. We dumped them in, and they did fine. Now the only problem is getting them to eat.... well, hopefully if they get hungry enough, they'll figure out that the flakes are food. Stupid fish. And the Red Sox won.
Today, they Red Sox play again in about half an hour, the rubber game of the series against the Yankees. I should go study now so when they play I can give the game my full attention. Peace.
